Letterpress copybook, 1855 Apr. 28 - 1856 Feb. 2, indexed, of the law firm. In it are discussed cases, fees for same, and legal activities such as the taking of depositions, the filing of briefs, the examination of court records, the settling of estate claims, and the writing of legal documents such as wills, contracts, etc. Reference is made to motions and papers filed with Ala. chancery courts, the Madison Co. Circuit Court, and Madison Co. and other probate courts. Some of the correspondence is with clients from southern states.

The law firm of Walker, Cabaniss and Brickell was located in Huntsville, Madison Co., Ala. The firm was composed of Robert C. Brickell, who moved to Huntsville in 1851, and who served as a Justice, then Chief Justice, of the Ala. Supreme Court, 1873-1884 and 1894-1898; Septimus D. Cabaniss, and Gen.
